Tuesday is the New Monday

Here's my Style Imitating Art inspiration for today:
Prinzessin Victoria Louise Poppy by Colleen Parker

Come on now, let's jump in and take a closer look at these stunning flowers...
yeah, poppies, doesn't it gives you that's 60s -70s vibe?

Well, I'm heading off to join Style Imitates Art, Monday Mingle, and Patti's Not Dead Yet Style, if I'm not too late.

Oh, oh and I supposed to say what I'm wearing.  Let's see...the pink reversible vest, fringed tank top, necklace with locket and pink linen pants have all been refashioned by me.  Pink snakeskin boots are thrifted, pink long necklace is from Mom, and green sheer flowered top is old beach wear.  That's it, folks.

  3. This just made me smile ... you look so great and did a grand job putting this together for SIA. Yup, mid '60s? ... a little "White Rabbit" and Gracie and the Airplane, perhaps. I missed this week, and really wanted to play, but life got in the way.
Wow ... I note three "You might also like..." pics that I haven't seen. Looks like fun.

  12. I hear the Wicked Witch in my head as she intoned, "Poppies...poppies..." I was always deliciously scared (but not really because I knew Dorothy and Toto would be rescued from the field). I love these poppies. I can see them as wallpaper or a crewel work pillow. You compliment them perfectly with wonderfully subtle shades of green and pink, and the dreamy prints and textures. Love this harbinger of Spring.

  13. Pink and green scream spring! Pink linen pants are a visual dream come true, but add a pink vest and boots next to poppies. What more could one hope for?

  14. Hi Pao!

    1. I am deeply honored that you've thought of me for such a prodigious award. And that you enjoy visiting my blog makes me feel great. I find I must, however, graciously decline as I have already been Liebstered a mere 6 months ago by Melanie of Bag and a Beret. Wishing you the best of luck. My nominations were a shy lot and only one or two responded out of 11! Enjoy your award, we're a special few.

  15. I'm generally not one for pastel colors, but you look so incredibly cool in this outfit, I might have to re-think my prejudices!
