That was Then, This is Now

painting by Marieloes Reek

I've just started sewing again!!!!!!!! Smile, smile, smile.

Mom has settled into a new place in Chicago.  I've settled down again.  And I serendipitously was invited to show a new piece at my old gallery for their 40th anniversary.  A that was then and this is now type of thing.  Yea, baby.  That is so right on.

I have two weeks to make it so.  More anon.  wheeeee.....

And can't wait to catch up with the good ole bloggerhood, missed you like crazy.  Thanks for the good vibes!

    1. Yea Amber! I can only hope, right now it looks like an over-wrought hospital gown. Not exactly what I was going for...

    1. Feels like I've been out of the swing of things forevah. Mom's settled in a place nearby, but worse for the wear of the past several months. Here's hoping her condition can start to improve now - or at least begin to stabilize.

I can't image the chapters I've missed in the Vix Dailies!

    1. Oh Jean, I'm glad to be above water again, yesireee. And glad to be in touch with you and all the creativity the bloggerhood holds, that's for sure. It's so cool to hear from everyone just like that.

I've been sewing 10+ hours a day (by hand!!!) to get this evolving piece done by the 26th, but it's been such a pleasure too. That's not counting the 2 or 3 false starts...

  9. Hello! So glad things are going a lot better for you! Sounds like your mom has improved, and you're sewing and creating again! I don't get out and about much except for Visible Mondays, and I know everyone there is hoping to see you soon.
I'm inspired by your bounce-back. Having a bit of a difficult time here (nothing serious, just logistical, business stuff) that's leaving us with way less time for recouperative activities!
Things can get easier, things CAN get easier!

    1. I so look forward to being seen with the Visibles again. The bounce-back took the whole summer quarter basically. I'll only have this art dress to show for it as far as Project Minima goes. ah well, that's life. Don't wait, recuperate!
