and now for something completely different...

~ same ole clothes, shoes, sox  ~

Yeah, it's the Sandra Betzina Vogue 1456  top pattern made in linen worn over the Tina Givens Sugar Slip pattern, also made in linen.  And you've seen those coolest of sandals from ebay before.  Just not in this particular arrangement.

~ but notice anything else? ~

Yeah, bay-bee

~ I got me some blue hair for my 65th birthday ~

uh-huh.

~ now I'm blue and old ~

Honestly, I went to a garden party where there were people I see all the time.  And every one of the women thought it was my real hair!  I mean, come on, it looks so fake.   Just goes to show how people don't really look at one another, or pay attention to how anyone else really looks.  They noticed the blue color, but otherwise the cut is similar enough to my usual that they thought I just had colored it.

Anyway, it's a $20 wig from Amazon that my true love gave me for my birthday.  mwah.

Okay then, off to Patti's Not Dead Yet Style, Catherine's I Will Wear What I Like and Cherie's Shoe and Tell.  Does a wig count as a hat for Judith's Hat Attack?  Probably not.  Stop on by.

    1. You made me do it, Patti. With all those wigs you keep showing off. But I'm going to stick with just one. It feels kinda weird. And no, I'm not giving you my shoes. At least, not yet.

  2. I didn't think it looked fake at all. It's the festival colour and style of choice this year and it looks ace.
Love the outfit and those crazy shoes! xx

    1. heehee, I think it's so weird. Maybe I'll get used to it... or maybe it needs a little trim...

  4. Okay...let's all talk about the wig. I thought it looked like a wig in the first four photos, LOL.

It does go super well with your outfit. No one else has said happy birthday and I fear that you're birthday is long past and I missed singing to you...but you know what...I'm going to sing anyways....Happy Birthday to you dear Pao.

    1. Yeah, now you're talking, true blue Sue.
Well of course, doesn't everyone match their clothes to the color of their hair?
ahh, and a b'day song to boot.

  5. This blue wig is RIGHT ON. What an amazingly cool gift from your True Love. And Happy Birthday! You get tons of discounts now. Score! I see lots of women with colourful hair so I didn't know if this was real or not. You rocked the wig when you came to Vancouver too. I hope you wear it lot!
Your outfit is spectacular and elevated by leaps and bounds by THOSE SHOES. Sigh. Carry on the coolness.

    1. I haven't noticed any of the discounts yet. Except for medicare, or is it medicaid? We'll see how long that lasts with you-know-who.
Yes, as you well know, nothing beats cute shoes. As far as wigs go...

  6. Dear pao, Happy Birthday and welcome to the Little Old Lady Gang! We seniors must keep all those young whipper-snappers on their toes, right? It's a serious job.

Love the blue hair! And thanks for reminding me about that Sandra Betsina pattern that I haven't tried yet. Looks great!

    1. Thanks for the welcome to the Old Lady Gang, Louisa. I fit right in with that wig. It does have that look of gray hair with a rinse of blue, don't ya think?

  7. Happy belated Birthday!

LOVE the wig! So funny since I also took some photos recently of me wearing a blue wig. Mine is brighter though.

    Those shoes are insane!

Its true. We think people notice small details but they are too busy looking at themselves.

    1. oh, can't wait to see you as a bright blue, Suzanne.
Insane? They are completely practical, I tell you with no high heel incline at all.

    2. Hey Suzanne, I forgot to mention, the wig is wearing your flower pin I received at the Blogger meet-up in Vancouver. I wear it often. I mean, it just goes with everything!

  8. Am I blue? You'd be too....nope. I'm always arguing with the cosplay youngsters to go wig or go home, cause endless bleaching is really not good for your hair. And a synthetic wig holds color and a hard curl much better.
All the happy birthdays there are and ever, for yoooooouuuuuuuuu!
