All Worked Out

on MeMadeMay'18, Day #4.

~ and downing a 'cold one' in my workout wear ~

The top is newly made (and really not finished, but what the hay?).  It started off from Tina Givens Olivia pattern and never made it into the cut and frill stage.  Yep, a plain vanilla Olivia.  You can see the others I've made here and here .  I think the print was enough as is.

~ Hey, something's growing in our garden ~

I made the pants long ago out of some thin knit using McCall's 6404 leggings.  Although I made them really large so they wouldn't be skin tight.  I never really wore them much until lately.  I was surprised to see how well they seemed to "go" with the top when I got dressed this morning.  All that geometric patterning.

~ Speaking of which... ~

I had actually cut out the pattern for the back to be the front and vice versa.  But when I tried it on, the mandala shape going on behind was a big no no.  When I reconfigured it (by cutting and sewing pieces to fit) with the mandala on front, what a difference.  Luckily I had this crazy print, so no one was the wiser.

~ good ole ebay shoes finish it off ~

    1. Thank goodness I thought of it sooner or later. I don't know, have you? I do wear them more than once. But my side mission during MeMadeMay is to where a different pair every day in May.

  2. Can we discuss shoe storage? That fabric is fabulous, btw.

    1. No.
I know it looks like it's been airbrushed for a 3-D effect.

  3. Nice shape and pattern on the tunic. Now I'm curious about just how many pairs of shoes you own!

    1. I know, the fabric pattern is so interesting it doesn't matter what you make out of it.
I don't know how many shoes I have - just like I don't know how many dresses I've made - but it's plenty, I can tell you that!

  4. I've never counted. My favorite ebay seller is Salearea. They are the best because they take multiple pictures, give thorough descriptions and best of all, they give the length and width of the shoe.
