Fabric Scrap Gems

Okay, we had our gift swap yesterday.  So fun.  Boy, do we know each other.  And we didn't take any pictures either!   We just started this officially last year, exchanging something hand-made and/or thrifted.

I was on a fabric jewelry making binge.  Still am actually.  I didn't know who should get what, so I wrapped them up in Modern Painter pages glued onto round cheese boxes.  They were left to pick whichever package they liked best.  Oh, too bad there's no photos of that either.

But I did take pix of the stuff before it went on its merry way...

S's Necklace and Bracelet Set

using strips of striped knit tied in knots...

or rolled over and over.

V's Necklace and Bracelet Set

using fabric cut into long, narrow triangles, rolled around chopsticks to create beads

beads threaded on black knit strip and wound with gold metallic thread

plus some gold plastic glitter beads added that I had on hand.

E's Necklace and Bracelet Set

Same knit fabric, just cut narrower, made with smaller knots and

cut in different direction to get horizontal stripes for a whole 'nother look.

As you can see,
