Salmon, Coral, Peach, You Name It.

Hot in Chicago this last week.  Just like those colors.  And I'm wearing all of them, together.

~ As I get down to the bongo beat in the tot lot park ~

~ yeah, I was so bongoing that I chimed the xylophone behind me with my arse ~
This brought some attention my way.

you know, all good things must come to an end, yadda, yadda, yadda.

~ but first my bow during the encore ~

~ and posing for photos by the fans ~

~ hmm, now what? ~

~ of yeah, the centerfold shot ~

I believe this is a continuation of our "This is not my house" series wherein Sara takes my ensemble photos as we stumble upon a site after our Stella's cafe routine on Sunday afternoons.

What I'm wearing, ladies:

  • sunglasses from the $1 store
  • some mash-up of various linen pieces (including tablecloth) and some hand-stitching kimono vest thing
  • white tissue linen long shirt from Tina Givens, Gina pattern with modifications
  • salmon, coral, peach, you name it linen pants from Tina Givens, Greta pattern
  • yellow leather tennis shoe clogs from ebay

As luck would have it, Spy Girls 52 pick-me-up: salmon is on for Monday and guess who'll be at the party?!  yep.  See you there.

  1. I'm expecting to hear "Bongo and Arse by Pao" on the top 10. Haha. Schpetacular! I love all your colours and, oh my, that kimono-y vest. You and Sara have a good thing going with the "this is not my house" series. Great photos. And of course the shoes, ah, the shoes! Mustard with salmon, always winning.
(PS - You looked fantastic in the long red wig but I had to keep you from rolling around on top of the hotel table for the fun shots!)

    1. Go ahead, I give you the rights to the song. You're better with lyrics and certainly with video. Speaking of which, remember that Swiss heavy metal band? They just send me an email saying they've just released their 1st album and a link to a video. It's very cool. I'll have to send it to you, or post it.

I did not look fantastic in the long red wig. just silly and that's okay.

    2. I differ! I thought you looked great in the wig. You maybe felt silly, but you still looked fantastic. I like you as you are without it better but that's true of most wigs on people. But how cool that you wore it out for drinks. Haha. EXCELLENT news about the band! You must post about it!!

    1. Well, they're not tennis shoes, tennis slip-ons? tennis slippers? backless tennies?

  3. You look peachy indeed. And corally and salmony. As always you are the queen of beautiful fabric and no doubt the star of the playground. LOVE the pants. Greta eh?

    1. Yeah, especially since I was the only one in there! Kids these days, where are they? The Greta pattern comes with a dress too that comes out way cooler than the picture. Oh, I just got the dress pattern you have, what's her name? Haven't made it yet though.

  4. Oh thanks Google Minus. Once again you ate my pithy comment. Grrrrr.
    Rewind.

You look peachy! I mean salmony (that sounds like an ailment).
Thanks for linking. You got the conga line started with some righteous bongos and xylophone. Now where the heck did I set my tropical libation?

  6. The kids are home staring at their computer/tablet/phone screens which leaves the playground equipment free for us adults! Digging the shapes in this outfit, especially those fab pants

    1. You're right, it certainly wasn't a school day. Glad you like the shapes I'm in. The pants are the coolest ever, if you could see the whole design.

  7. The outfit is perfect for bongo playing.

I love that what you're wearing is part tablecloth.

    1. Hey those pants almost look like pirate pants, don't ya think? Maybe not the right color...

    2. but you should have seen the lovely man´s pirate look - more pirate of the street of malakka then jack sparrow - so your oriental pants would fit the theme very well :-)
(sadly no pics of him on that day - i was to busy being a good hostess)

  9. Tablecloths and paisleys, two of my favourite things to wear. With bongos and gratuitous arse shots, too. Brilliant! xxx
