The striped linen is made from Tina Givens Sugar Slip pattern and the white linen gauze underneath is made from Tina Givens free Priscilla slip pattern.

~ complete with Jeffrey Campbell boots from ebay ~

I'm going to join the gang at Patti's Not Dead Yet Style, Catherine's I Will Wear What I Like, and Cherie's Shoe & Tell when they all go live.  Come on by.

    1. Oh, it was a "necklace" I made from satin ribbon and some of Mom's satin roses tied to each end. But I decided not to wear it at the last moment.
What do you mean? Those are very practical boots for the summer.

    1. It is all very swish-swish-swishy. Yes, and linen too! I was influenced by something for the neckline, but I can't remember by what.

  4. That neckline is pretty neat. I mean, I know how you did it, but the what made you think of it is the cool part.

    1. I just recall that I wasn't that into the drawstring neckline that was indicated on the pattern.

  6. Oh how I love all this enormousness of linen! Just gorgeous. And the perfect shade of blue. The stripes are delightful. I really like that neckline, and am amazed that it holds its long narrow scoop so well, and isn't pulled open by the weight and movement of the dress. Just wonderful.

    1. ahh, there's a secret to that neckline. I didn't want to always have to wear something under the dress because of a low neckline. So I sewed a scrap of cotton eyelet underneath.
