Oh, it was a "necklace" I made from satin ribbon and some of Mom's satin roses tied to each end. But I decided not to wear it at the last moment.

It is all very swish-swish-swishy. Yes, and linen too! I was influenced by something for the neckline, but I can't remember by what.

DeleteOh how I love all this enormousness of linen! Just gorgeous. And the perfect shade of blue. The stripes are delightful. I really like that neckline, and am amazed that it holds its long narrow scoop so well, and isn't pulled open by the weight and movement of the dress. Just wonderful.
ReplyDeleteahh, there's a secret to that neckline. I didn't want to always have to wear something under the dress because of a low neckline. So I sewed a scrap of cotton eyelet underneath.
