Day 2 MMM'19: Flashback in Pink

I do believe that trying on some items from the archives has turned me into an Austin Powers' prop.

~ yeah, baybee, yeah ~

I would not wear this combo in real life.  Trade out the shirt, for something longer, shorten the pants above the ankle, maybe wear the jacket with a voluminous dress or skirt.  With a little work here and there, I might manage something do-able for this decade.  We'll see.

~ I do feel silly ~

Anyway, the suit is made from pink corduroy, lined with matching polyester, of course, using McCalls 4391 pattern.  Made at least 25+ years ago.

  2. The depth of your wardrobe! This certainly shows off your figure... and how far you've changed sartorially. Looove the shoes. You have a penchant for dusty pink? Or are we working through the wardrobe by colour ( see yesterday ;-)

    1. I luv pink, always have. I have been on a pursuit of pink lately and when I found this suit in the way-back machine, I was "oh yeah."

  3. That's epic - a huge departure from the Pao style we know and love you for - but a brilliant make and a perfect fit. x

    1. It's epic alright. I'm sure I'll feel similarly about what I wear now 25 years hence. Shudder the thought.

  4. Your workmanship and the fact it still fits you!!!! I couldn't say the same. I like the idea of seeing the pieces reworked and restyled. Impressive once again. xoxo

    1. Hey Jean, nice to see you again. If it wasn't for my exercise/diet regime over the last 2 years, this groovy pants suit would not have seen the light of day probably ever! I want to see what I can do, hopefully during MMM, but if not, sooner or later.

  5. Definitely a very different look for you! I would totally wear those pants just as they are if they fit me. I love a wide leg pant, and in corduroy, YOWZA.

    1. It's just that I have to wear a high heel, like those Docs and even then they scrape the ground. Hey, was I taller before?! Other than that I luv the color, etc.
