What do you think? Certainly a far cry from the previous one I've shown, here. But I luv it just the same. Well, in a different way.

It's like pre-painted painter's overalls. Jackson Pollack overalls?
Made from challis using McCall's 7936, a Learn to Sew pattern. Only the size I had was too big, so I made a button up flap to take up some slack up the middle front. (I didn't make that up.)  |

ReplyDeleteActually most of the fabric I have is bought online through https://www.fabricmartfabrics.com (I just can't stop.) And pay-per-view seems to be what I do there.

DeleteYou have such wonderful fabric in your stash, and apparently, the perfect buttons to go with everything. I like how the print looks abstract from a distance (definitely a paint splatter) but is actually a floral.

ReplyDeleteI looked at the pattern link, the photo on cover shows the model in a much more fitted outfit, how many sizes over one's "true" size would a person need to get your more loose and easy fit?

Hi Tess, My pattern was a size Large (16-18) indicated as bust 38-40, waist 30-32, hip 40-42 which I fit within. However, the amount of ease is extreme. Bust 46.5, hip 47.75 which is why I added the button flap to take up some of the excess.
DeleteIf I had a Medium (12-14) I would make that size and it would still be roomy with the finished measurements at 42.5 and 43.75. But that info isn't given until you buy the pattern. Hope that helps...
