Wow, just at first glance - James Dean, arrow, framed portrait in the Gold section, hare-a-leaping, and Blue Lady, Blue Lady! Awesome!!!

DeleteYes, it's an oldie from 1984 (that's 28 years ago)! If you look closely you'll see I painted jewelry portraits of many of the same pieces on display.
DeleteOh wow, what an amazing collection, and what a great way to store/display them. I tend to tuck mine away in a jewelry box and then forget them. I may have to try something like this...

DeleteGreat collection, even better that this display lets you see them all at a glance and that you wear them. I love your painting, especially the rose detail you've integrated on the yellow chair.
ReplyDeleteHey Melanie, yeah they're all so pretty I want to be able to see them all the time. That big ole rose is actually on the chair. And I still have a couple of the chairs in the studio - although they're in pretty rough condition these days. They made it into many of my paintings back then.

DeleteLove this. I keep mine in old egg boxes, which keeps them in order, but it´s not particularly aesthetically pleasing. I should think about a display of some kind.
ReplyDeleteThat's how my Mom always kept her jewelry organized in her vanity drawer. It also works well for my broken jewelry that I want to reconfigure - easy to store and keep together.
DeleteI've also used the scroll on the wall which actually looks better, but had no room for it this time. I just run two small doll rods through the top and bottom of a length of heavy cloth that I've hemmed. I added a beautiful piece of silk cording to the top rod for hanging. Like an old wall tapestry.
