ReplyDeleteOh wow! I knew that skirt would be awesome on and it totally is. I love the shape and the mega-huge pockets. I really enjoy sewing on corduroy - I had to hem both of my corduroy pants and it sews really easy.

DeleteWho needs to carry a bag with those spectacular zipped pockets. You may need to patent these; I think you're on to something (again). The pink made from scratch socks are such a great combo with the shoes. You're the only person I know who makes socks. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteI've always loved skirts and dresses with pockets, but this - this is the cat's pajamas. And socks are easy to make if you have the right fabric. I found out it has to stretch both ways!
DeleteNow I want to make my version of that skirt too - yours is too cute! Unfortunately there's a number of things in the queue already that demand to get done first. Isn't that always the way? I do love me some corduroy too but I haven't seen any nice stuff recently. Will have to keep an eye out. You are so inspirational!
ReplyDeleteI stumbled upon great quality corduroy at Vogue Fabric here on sale for only $1.99/yard! Thus the series of garments lately. Watch out for the sizing on this pattern, both pants and skirt. I ended up going about 4 sizes smaller than the pattern indicated.
DeleteMade from scratch socks? I've never heard of such a thing. I've heard of scratchy socks, in fact, I've even worn scratchy socks but never knew they could be made from scratch. ;)

Yes, it's the perfect 'going to the vet' skirt if you wear some thick denim leggings or such under it. I think your right about the accent...
