Animals and Angels

~ artwork by Emile Morel ~

...were just pouring out of me in the jewelery-making scene.  But that's it for awhile.  I've cleared off the table in my studio and am ready for a sewing bout again.  Meanwhile all the jewels-to-be are now organized to the max which delights me to no end.

Without further ado, here's my latest playthings (after the break)...

old chain & single earrings

mom's old "pearls" with toy dinos
close up of dinos gem-ed & brushed with gold

artwork entitled 'Angel'
made into necklace with shredded copper fabric

found fabric stuffed kitty
stitched together to create brooch
And That's all folks!

  2. Wow, that angel pendant is brilliant. You do wonderful things! It's so fulfilling being able to rotate between passions. Do you know how lucky you are to have more than one?

  3. Four incredible works of art! I love the mating dinosaurs especially. I'm so impressed that you can finish one project and move on to the next so methodically, too! x

    1. The dinos are so cute together, they just didn't want to be split up, and that pearl necklace was so u.g.l.y., what else could one do?

I originally made the metallic copper strand for shoe laces, but they couldn't hold up to the strain of knotting and re-knotting. So I was thrilled to find it worked out perfectly for the necklace part of the shattered-safety-glass-angel-box.

    1. They've (pearls and dinos) been around a looong time, so it seemed inevitable that they'd hook up together.

  6. I love the first one for all the texture and pieces. But the kitty brooch wins my heart. Your jewelry is always so much fun. It makes me want to do more DIY's.
