So what's with the Frankie part, you ask. It's the name of the Tina Givens pattern I used (with some liberties) for the crop top and pants.

These lovely well-dressed ladies arrived at the cafe while I was there. I was so impressed that I asked if I could take a picture. That's when they said, "Oh, we're not together." Okay, can I still take a picture? You all look so beautiful in your summer frocks. "Yes!" And done.

DeleteOoooooo, Pao, I adore that outfit! I would love to have something like that to wear all summer (although I would want it in the reverse print - black background with white print and trim). Do the pants have a waistband or elastic?
ReplyDeleteI made the pants with a drawstring waistband. That's my preferred method so I can wear them slung low on the hips or high above my waist. I make the tie of the drawstring open on the inside rather than the outside so it doesn't show, if you get my drift.

ReplyDeleteThe adaptations are for my own good and really can't be helped. Plus they are Tina Givens patterns and can't be avoided.
DeleteJust the perfect outfit for summer in the city! (The summer that we aren't experiencing much right now.) And I've seen a lot more girls in dresses lately too. Very cute.
