Prinzessin Victoria Louise Poppy by Colleen Parker |
Come on now, let's jump in and take a closer look at these stunning flowers...
yeah, poppies, doesn't it gives you that's 60s -70s vibe? |
Well, I'm heading off to join Style Imitates Art, Monday Mingle, and Patti's Not Dead Yet Style, if I'm not too late.
Oh, oh and I supposed to say what I'm wearing. Let's see...the pink reversible vest, fringed tank top, necklace with locket and pink linen pants have all been refashioned by me. Pink snakeskin boots are thrifted, pink long necklace is from Mom, and green sheer flowered top is old beach wear. That's it, folks.
Fabulous piece of art you are wearing.
ReplyDeleteYou are so perfect for that flower.

Yes, we are mirror reflections of each other.
DeleteBeautifully refreshing in here! A breath of fresh spring air which I so desperately need right now. You look fantastically delicious too I might add.
ReplyDeleteooo, you're so fresh yourself, my dear Joni.
DeleteThis just made me smile ... you look so great and did a grand job putting this together for SIA. Yup, mid '60s? ... a little "White Rabbit" and Gracie and the Airplane, perhaps. I missed this week, and really wanted to play, but life got in the way.
ReplyDeleteWow ... I note three "You might also like..." pics that I haven't seen. Looks like fun.
Do enjoy your trip down the rabbit hole, Jan. I'm just talking to the flowers...
DeletePoppies are amongst my favourite flowers and I love your pink and green take on their colouring. The pants are great!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen any quite like these before, quite spectacular. I must say, I don't hold a candle to them.
DeleteBeautiful beautiful look! Do I spy those pink boots! Pink and green are so exciting.
ReplyDeleteYes you do, Megan Mae, the boot queen.
DeleteThose poppies are gorgeous, one of my favourite blooms, exotic and so vibrant, rather like you in those killer flares, love 'em! xxx
ReplyDeleteThat's me alright, strange and rather shaky.
DeleteHippie, Trippy, Vibrant and Fantastic!!! Love the outfit Pat--it's so springish!!
ReplyDeleteI may need to plant some poppies in the garden this year!!
Yes, that's why I had to jump right to it!
DeletePat, I've said it before, and I'll say it again, you always make the original art look better :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I'd put it the other way around, myself.
DeleteDefinitely gives me that '60s vibe! You look stunning, so in tune with the painting.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it look like we're singing together on Sesame St. or something?
DeleteAh, my Pretty Poppy -- delightful!
ReplyDeleteCome spring up in my garden any time!
xo
Okay, I'm on it.
Deletehmmm...
ReplyDeleteWonderful interpretation, Pat! Your pose and expression are an excellent part of the embodiment. Pink snakeskin boots, Mom's necklace, and old beachwear - marvellous!
ReplyDeleteYou always say the most thoughtful things, Amber.
DeleteI hear the Wicked Witch in my head as she intoned, "Poppies...poppies..." I was always deliciously scared (but not really because I knew Dorothy and Toto would be rescued from the field). I love these poppies. I can see them as wallpaper or a crewel work pillow. You compliment them perfectly with wonderfully subtle shades of green and pink, and the dreamy prints and textures. Love this harbinger of Spring.
ReplyDeleteNow if it were only true. It's below freezing again today!
DeletePink and green scream spring! Pink linen pants are a visual dream come true, but add a pink vest and boots next to poppies. What more could one hope for?
ReplyDeleteYes, and another day of 2 degrees and icy wind. I am screaming spring.
DeleteHi Pao!
ReplyDeleteI've taken the liberty of nominating you to the Liebster Award. Visiting your blog is always like reading a fairytale - full of wonderful outfits and incredible artwork! Of course it's up to you if you want to participate or not, but I do hope you will!
I am deeply honored that you've thought of me for such a prodigious award. And that you enjoy visiting my blog makes me feel great. I find I must, however, graciously decline as I have already been Liebstered a mere 6 months ago by Melanie of Bag and a Beret. Wishing you the best of luck. My nominations were a shy lot and only one or two responded out of 11! Enjoy your award, we're a special few.
DeleteI'm generally not one for pastel colors, but you look so incredibly cool in this outfit, I might have to re-think my prejudices!
ReplyDeleteIt does seem right up your alley, Joy.
