Green Pleats and Mustard Walls

This just in:  I'm wearing 3 layers of pleats!
~ No, it's not a disco move ~

But I should be dancing, yeah.  ahem.  Who would paint their walls this color?

~ A  beauty school, of course ~

~ from  her-er-er  to-oo-oo  eter-er-er-nity ~

Just watch and listen - it's from my fav film & director and I just luv this song...

(If for some reason the video doesn't come through for you, just click here.)

~ ahh, brings back good memories ~

Oh yeah, I'm wearing clothes all made from Tina Givens patterns.  My newly made cotton print  Jacquelyn crop top, over a cotton Briare slip dress, over a striped linen Sugar slip.

~ that mustard wall is no match for my lovely ebay shoes and spaced dyed, over the knee sox ~

And now it's time to join all the Visibles at Patti's Not Dead Yet Style.  Come on by and join us.  And Cherie of Style Nudge, Shoe and Tell goes live on Monday.  See you then.

    1. What? You couldn't see the video? Drat. I just put up a link to it too, so maybe that will help if the embedded video doesn't work for everyone.

The cotton print is also by Tina Givens. I got it on-line at flyingbulldogs.com

    1. Really, which one did you get, Rhonda? I know you made her Plinka pants long ago.

  5. That wall colour is really popular in India - it works well with the light over there. Here, not so!
Loving the ruffles and the shoes. Nick Cave is a neighbour of a friend, she's just posted a photo of him on Facebook wearing a tracksuit to get his groceries. Not a great look (unlike yours!) xxx

    1. Yeah, I could see that. It's the color of curry, or saffron isn't it?

Well, I didn't choose a more current version of him singing the song - not nearly as cool. I heard he was at Glastonbury not too long ago, 2013 maybe...

  6. I just found your blog via Pinterest. I was searching for diy Lagenlook ideas and you surely have them! I have been trying myself for several years to reduce waste (and clothing costs) by buying thrift and refashioning myself...some turn out and some not so much but the process is fun for me. Thanks for a great reading (with fun visuals) blog.

    1. Very interesting, Cynthia and Co. And your jewelry pieces are truly labors of love. Speaking of which I would luv to see some of your refashioning of clothes too. Do you post any of those?

  7. So much great photos here, but I love your infinity pleats in the mirror - a whole new dimension. That's so funny, yes, beige for beauty.
Nobody does pleats better than you. Well, of course, these are amazing pleats. Great combo. And the shoes, again! Thank you for that video. The hair, the styles, the music. That will be going through my head ALL DAY! I think I should thank you...ask me after five hours of this.

  8. "Green Pleats and Mustard Walls" That sounds like some of the meal suggestions on this detox diet I'm on. Though I'm sure I'm not allowed a sugar slip. But Yum! What a delicious outfit. that Tina Givens can really cook up some tasty patterns. And you look so pretty in her designs. "Wings of Desire" I haven't thought of that film in ages. It totally knocked my sox off when I saw it. Wow. Thanks for the memories.

Thank you for posting the video - Wim Wenders and Nick Cave are two of my favourite humans.
