DeleteEmbellished corduroy with chiffon...of course!
ReplyDeleteI get such a kick from your inventiveness.
Xo Jazzy Jack
That's what I had in my stash in the same color... you know, mother of invention
DeleteBeautiful dress with so much detail. And of course I love how you did life in art and then life in art AGAIN! Shoes, coat, of course also amazing. I must check my dollar store for specs.
ReplyDeleteIt all goes 'round and 'round, yeah?
DeleteOh, and for sunglasses too.
OMG please please what make/brand are those shoes???? I'm in love!!!
ReplyDeleteWell Unknown, they are J Shoes, and I have never seen them before or since I stumbled upon them in my exact size for cheap on ebay. They are thick leather and zip up on the side.
DeleteThankyou!!! I'll do some detective work x
Deleteah, Msfiredragon, Good luck. Let me know what you find out.
DeleteI LOVE that jacket!!! And the painting too :)
ReplyDeleteThe jacket I made a year or two ago. The painting I made 35 years or so ago.
DeleteI honestly thought you were standing in your bedroom. Well I guess you're actually standing in front of your bedroom. Love the dress. Love the coat. Love the painting. I even love the photography. Love love love love all around.
ReplyDeleteI still have the furniture, and that little painting, and The Second Sex paperback...
DeleteOh and my true love did the photos.
I am fascinated by the paintify option - I'd never heard of it but I'm going to see if I can improve my photos that way.
ReplyDeleteAmazing shoes!
Well it's not really named "paintify" but something kinda like that. Probably "paint daubs" or "palette knife" in photoshop. 1 of them is probably in "dry brush" and the other in "cross hatch." The photos were really dark and fuzzy, grainy, so that's when I play around with them to get them usable.
DeleteLoving the coat!
ReplyDeleteIt's made from upholstery fabric on one side and velvet on the other with organza stitched every 1/2 inch diagonally over top and then sliced through to the velvet for the collar.
DeleteWhat an ace backdrop! The coat is magnificent! I need to crack open the fabric stash and get creating, you're inspiring me with your awesomeness! xxx
ReplyDeleteI imagine you might want a little transition time between India and England first. From swim suits to snow suits, eh?
Deletei have that embellished corduroy in white!!!!
ReplyDeletewould like to see more of the painting - what i can see is fabulous!
your coat looks very paris in the roaring 20s......
<3 xxxx
Really?! What is your white corduroy made into? Not a pillow I hope. You can see all my artwork on my art website, www.patottoart.com
Deletethanx for the link!!
Deletei bought that corduroy to make a wedding dress for a customer - a sheet dress with a little short and wide jacket. the remnants - enough for a skirt i think - still lying around here - i´m not in wearing white at the moment. pillow cover - never!!! :-)
xxxxx
Oh, that would be beautiful styled as a wedding dress. Do you still have pictures of it? Just kidding about the pillow.
DeleteI LOOOOOOOVE your bedroom painting!!!!!!! The dress is pretty darn awesome too!!!
