I finally committed to it. After all, I only wear my handmade clothes as it is. The clincher was you don't have to document daily wearing of them. Yea, I could see that. Not.
~ All Me Made ~ |
I mean, it would be nice, but...
~ ooo, onslaught of the seedlings ~ |
you know I barely get photographs done once a
~ So here I am on a beautiful day in the neighborhood, etc. ~ |
I made this top thingy to go over the other Sam Dress, but evidently it decided this Sam Dress was the one.
~ don't get dizzy ~ |
The top is from McCall's 7416, but the back is what I find interesting, and then I modified it a bit.
~ see? so weird ~ |
~ ta, for now ~ |
~ oh, and les shoes from ebay ~ |
me made details:
- hat made from old black and gray t-shirts a la Alabama Chanin's bucket hat as seen on my Winter page
- Sam Dress pattern by Tina Givens made in B&W striped georgette with modifications
- McCall's 7416 vest pattern made in B&W striped poly
- gray fingerless gloves made from stretch fabric from stash as seen on this post.
- unseen dark gray slip with pale pink lace made from Butterick 5045 with modifications as seen on my Spring page
With that I'll be joining up with Patti and the Visibles at Not Dead Yet Style, Catherine's I Will Wear What I Like, Cherie's Shoe and Tell, and Judith the Style Crone's Hat Attack. And of course, there's Me Made May '17 for the next 30 days!
oh I dig these stripes! And all the greenies on the ground. And your new commitment to take a picture every day (heh). Thanks for linking up, you are a true talent. xo

It all happened overnight - the green seedlings, that is. Thanks for hosting all the Visibles, Patti.
DeleteYou are dazzling, my dear! What a perfect combo. I see Spring has hit Chicago too.
ReplyDeleteYea, a very cool and rainy type of Spring.
DeleteAbsolutely love that combo :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoy it, Alexandra.
DeleteGOSTO...GOSTO MUITO...ME AGRADA BASTANTE TEU BLOG,TUA CRIATIVIDADE É ADORÁVEL...UM GRANDE ABRAÇO...
ReplyDeleteWell thank you Rosangela.
DeleteMaybe it's the cloche style hat, but this outfit has a flapperish vibe that I really like.
ReplyDeleteyea, I got that vibe too. plus the long necklaces, I think.
DeleteI usually associate you with more colour, but, man, this monochrome stripy look is a knock-out. You're right, the top is way cool.
ReplyDeleteNo, we expect photos hourly!! Hahaha. Can you imagine? Oh, that's what we call INSTAGRAM. Gaaa!! Love it all, Pao.
Owh, that's what instagram is for. If only I knew how to do it. No, no. I still wouldn't want hourly, daily, photo-ing.
DeleteNeato outfit! And just looking at the seedlings make me have an allergy attack. Here it is the palms and live oaks, crazy hormonal. MeMadeMay - um, too revealing of my predilection for daily PJs...
ReplyDeleteOh, but if they're anything like your recent pj makes, it would make great MeMadeMay pix.
DeleteI kept thinking what is different about this photo and then I realised, you are NOT wearing your glasses! Like you, I'm terrible at documenting and photographing every thing. I have clothes that I've made that have never ever been posted on my blog and yet, I wear them all the time. I love your clothing. I find it inspiring.
ReplyDeleteYou know, they're reading glasses so I usually have them on just to read the info on the camera!
DeleteGlad the clothes are inspiring you.
I love this outfit! The top/vest thing is awesome. I looked at that pattern and never gave it a second thought. I will now.
ReplyDeleteYea, I had forgotten about it. But when I looked at the back, I was like, wow.
DeleteWonderful creative styling on your top! I really enjoy the contrast of varying horizontal stripes mixed with the vertical stripes. Your bucket hat tops this outfit off perfectly. Thank you for sharing with Hat Attack!
ReplyDeleteIt's that same ole bucket hat. I've made a couple and that's it. But it's so nice to have a place to share it. Whenever I do wear it, I can't help but think of you.
DeleteFabulous outfit indeed.
ReplyDeletewoo-hoo!
DeleteOoooo, that top thingy is really cool, especially the back. Multiple layers of stripes are the best.
ReplyDeleteI think this is my first double stripe thingy.
