...I made nearly five years ago out of linen that's become so very soft now. I just luv it.

~ and here I'm showing off my new ebay shoes ~ |

~ aren't they divine? ~ |

~ It makes me feel like a Victorian sweetie or some such thing ~ |

~ But hey, ~ |
The pattern I used was from the Japanese Sewing Book,
Simple Modern Sewing, modified like crazy.
You can see the first time I wore it
here and the next time
here. Each time with different accoutrements. This is the plainest and probably the most effective, I think. It's the shoes. yeah.
I'll be over at Patti's and the Visibles for
Not Dead Yet Style and then Catherine's
I Will Wear What I Like when they go live. Come on by.
Ooh yes. Very snazzy. Love when shoes make a positive contribution to an outfit so much better than boring neutrals. Great look.
ReplyDeleteThanks tpotty, it really just fell into place.
DeleteOh yeah, softened linen is the best. You look super-fab and the new shoes do the trick, xox.
ReplyDeleteYes, Patti. It's a case of Trick and Treat!
DeleteGreat dress, love its soft Victorian vibe. The shoes make a strong statement to this feminine look

Always a pleasure when everything simply adds up fabulously - even at 60+!
DeleteA fabulous 1920s vibe going down there, Pao! Love your fabric choice and your Mum's pin. xxx
ReplyDeleteI'm so subtle here I hardly know myself, Vix.
DeleteVery dramatic look - I absolutely love your shoes! I am always looking for quirky brogues.
ReplyDeleteI'm still in luv with them too. They've got a higher heel than I would usually wear. The addition of the platform and the thickness of the heel keeps them comfy and easy to walk in. mmmmm, brogues.
Deletep.s. I wanted to reply to your shoe post, Gail, but I don't do "Disqus" and it doesn't allow guest posting. Anyway, I was going to say I liked the shoes you were wearing the best!
DeleteExcellent accessories here - I cannot believe the luck you have finding shoes on Ebay!
ReplyDeleteI know!!! I still think I'm dreaming with this pair. Whatever were people thinking in not bidding for these babies? They're over $300.00 new. And these were new!
DeleteI just love your style so much!
ReplyDeleteGee thanks Radostin, glad you enjoy it.
