~ day lilies in the 'hood ~ |
Of course they don't really smell.
It was a photo op.
~ proof that orange and green do go together ~ |
Now, what's that thing I'm wearing, you ask? Ha! Why they're from Tina Givens patterns, of course.
The Spring Green Woven Stripe Light-Weight Linen fabric is made into a modified Clara Kaftan.
`~ see? ~ |
The White Semi-Sheer Linen Gauze fabric is made into the Priscilla Slip. Both items have pockets. I always make pockets. One must have pockets. Did I not mention that pockets are mandatory? Purses are not.
~ a perfect match ~ |
to my ebay rocket dog canvas shoes. woo-hoo.
And just like the last page in the New Yorker Magazine, now it's your chance to fill in the captions to the last pix in the comment section...

Okay, without further ado, I'm with Patti and the Visibles at Not Dead Yet Style, then Catherine's I Will Wear What I Like and finally Cheri's Shoe and Tell. See you all there.
Of course green and orange go together - and beautifully on you, Pao. Caption: "touchdown among the day lilies!" xox

Oh that's a good one, Patti. It made me giggle out loud.
DeleteGlorious construction, esp. with petticoat, and gorgeous colour combo.
ReplyDeleteCaption for the first pic ..."for those with taste"... (lilly emerging from mouth). Xo Jazzy Jack
ahhaha, hmmm so you think they're any good?
Delete"day lily problem in pao´s neighborhood!"
ReplyDelete;-)
and i have this dress! striped of course! but multicolored, boat neck and much more form fitting..... i inserted bands in the points of the "wings" so i can wrap them around me. where is my photographer when i need him!
hugs! xxxxxx
yes, I could live with that kind of problem in the 'hood.
DeleteI'd like to see your form-fitting dress, Beate!
How about: "Stop the lawn mower!!! I'm here, I'm HERE, I'M HERE!!" Although I don't think anyone would be mowing these lovely lilies. Gorgeous green/orange combo, of course. And the shoes! Always the best shoes. I'm with you on the pockets-over-purses preference.
ReplyDeleteThat would be good with sound, don't you think? With the ominous, but not seen, lawn mover sound in the background while I tra la about.
DeleteCaption #1 - Telephoto lens captures starlet Pao Minima wearing high end label Tina Givens
ReplyDeleteCaption #2 - Proven Winners | The #1 Plant Brand - You won't be disappointed with our newest daylily, the giganticus orangatanus genus
Pao....you look spectacular my dear! Yes and yes to green and orange...I was dressed in green a lot as a kid...so orange hair, green clothes go, I guess. And ditto your thoughts on kelly green.
heeheehee, you are too funny Ms. Sue.
DeleteLove the orange and green combination! I don't have any idea what Kelly Green is - am I missing something????
ReplyDeletehmmm. You mean it's not a world-wide expression?! Let's see, Kelly Green is an over saturated green with maybe a bit of yellow in it. garish, in my opinion.
DeleteI'd never heard of kelly green until I started reading American blogs - my school uniform was a hideous shade of drab bottle green and I've never worn it again.
ReplyDeleteThat dress is wonderful with the the orange accessories and aren't Rocket Dogs the comfiest pumps ever?
Flower Pao-wer? xxx
The things we learn blogging. Who knew kelly green would be regional and rocket dogs universal.
DeleteFlower Pao-wer. ahahaha.
When I discover a dress I bought has pockets, I feel like I hit the lottery! And what a loverly shade of green.
ReplyDeleteyeah, bay-bee. Now why are they selling dresses without pockets? As someone has already mentioned somewhere...do they sell men's pants without pockets? no, they don't.
DeletePockets are mandatory - the latest addition to the Blogger's list of life requirements. I like the little ruffle on the Priscilla Slip, which is the perfect "wear under everything" summer layering piece.
ReplyDeleteI can't think of any captions better than what has already been suggested. I like Vix's suggestion of "Flower Pao-er"
Do you keep that list, Shelley? I need to know all that's on it.
DeleteHey, no pressure. I couldn't think of anything either.
Wow! Yet another gorgeous combo...You look fab Pao. my caption would be 'Behold lillies Pao, the queen of green salutes you'
ReplyDeletewoo-hoo, now that's a caption, Jacky Rose. Do you have a blog somewhere out there? Cuz I couldn't find it on my own.
DeleteSorry I don't Pao...but thank you for asking...I have just started an instagram page! https://www.instagram.com/willowandtwist/?hl=en not much to see at the moment but hopefully I will be posting lots more of my knitting and embroidery in the weeks to come. :-)
DeleteKelly green. I used to work with a girl named Kelly and she was very annoying. I agree. Don't like Kelly. But I love your Tina dress - I love all of your Tina Dresses - and your orange lily shoes. Okey doke. Caption 1: Has anyone seen my purse? Caption 2: Don't need a purse cuz I've got POCKETS!!!!
ReplyDeletePoor ole kelly.
DeleteYour are too good at this. May I hire you to do all my captions. Forget that, will you do my blog?
Poor Kelly Green is just not getting any love, I still love you Kelly. :o) But I also love Pao's bright green!!! And of course with orange, what doesn't go with orange???
ReplyDeleteCaption: Honey, I shrunk the Pao! (which only works if you're familiar with those movies)
