~ actually it's todays workout wear ~ |
Maybe with a 60s sort of vibe?
|
~ or camo? ~ |
Well, the jacket is from
Tina Givens Gypsy Jacket pattern, modified and made in linen. The camisole is self-drafted, made from organza. And the pants are self-drafted as well, made in cotton. I have never worn these things together before. Will I again?

~ I'll have to think about it ~ |
The shoes are not from ebay, but old ones of mine that were originally black. I painted them with some heavy metal paints that go verdigris with applications of this and that. They are also ready to retire, but I luv them so...
Such green goodness. The stripes and print are fab. Just fab.
ReplyDeleteWhat was that salad dressing? Yes, the Green Goddess, wasn't it? I'm their ad.
DeleteI would love to make some sheer tops like that to wear over/under things. I imagine that organza is a bugger to work with though.
ReplyDeleteIt's not that bad. It's just that it ravels so French seams are necessary. But if you just do a practice run you'd be fine. I left the bottom ruffle to fray.
DeleteIt's a groovy outfit, made for Mother Nature!
ReplyDeleteah yes, right you are, bkind2all.
DeleteYou're almost camouflaged here, a wonderful print. x
ReplyDeleteI know, lost in my backyard. These are your kind of bell bottoms, sorta, Vix.
DeleteMmm, I love all these greenery prints together with the dappled shade of organza. I tend to retire shoes only when they're no longer comfy, too. If they still feel ok, maybe a new lick of paint would spruce them up enough?
ReplyDeleteThe shoes are cracking, a lot. And over-painting will just make it worse, I'm afraid. But then again, the paint job is so marbled, it's hard to see it right off. They are comfortable...
