Monday, Monday

...so good to me,  Monday Monday, it was all I hoped it would be.  Yes!  What would it be like without the Visibles and Patti's at Not Dead Yet Style?!  I can't imagine.

Here I am, kinda fuzzy, but there nevertheless:

wearing sewing repeats (my big pocket skirt and kitchen curtain pantaloons), old stuff (pj lace top, pearls & star shell pin), and the velvet beaded blazer gift
yeah, check out those new-to-me cowboy boots!
Oh man, I am so bad, I have to stop.  These were another e-bay thing, but they fit perfectly and are really comfy, soft leather and cost under $20 bucks.  But still.  Not a good trend.  After this, I'm going to quit.  I blame everyone else for my downfall.  Yes, I'm in total denial...maybe.

Okay, I'll be joining everyone at Patti's Not Dead Yet Style as well as the crowd at Monday Mingle.  See you there!  Then hooking up with Lakota's Ta-dah Tuesday and the Pleated Poppy.

  1. "I blame everyone else for my downfall." My new favorite thing to say. Love the whole look, esp those straight-from hell boots. Thanks for linking it up to Visible Monday.

    1. What? Did I say that? I thought I was just thinking it in my head. Gasp, Patti - my straight from hell boots?! yeah. nice ring to it.

  2. I'll take the blame! The leather on those boots looks sinfully soft. (Also I keep saying the same as you - 2013 is going to have to be the 'really mean it this time')

Ebay really doesn't help! So many good deals.

    2. Exactly! It's best for me to stay off it, or I WILL buy something. And probably go to hell for that...lol.

  4. What size shoe do you wear? If it would make you feel better just ship them on over to me..then you'll stop feeling guilty....or denial-y.

I love em! How could you go wrong for under 20bucks?

  5. You tall girls and your cute, pointy boots! Don't you love how it feels to wear velvet?
Enjoy all the new year has to offer.

    1. I believe, pointy toe boots are an equal opportunity fashion statement for all genders, sizes, ages, races, etc., etc. Try em if you like em, Jan. Maybe this new year?!

  6. I think it's a good thing! Sometimes we just have to finish off an outfit!

I have never purchased anything on e-bay. And if I do it will be your fault!

    1. Oh no! I am passing on my bad influence through blogging. And I was Doing Good initially. That's always the way, slip, sliding along.

  7. Sorry, I'll be another bad influence, because those boots really are the sh*t with that outfit. I've never ordered anything from ebay, and I'm scared to start. I learned a long time ago that I can't have credit cards, either. I'm irresponsible. But those boots...? See, I'd be spending right now, absolutely. You look so, so cool in your leather and lace.

    1. Don't! Don't do it, ebay is the gateway. Once you start down that path...whoa. Yeah, I'm very good with my one credit card. No debt. Ok, ok, see I do have something under control. Thanks Jean.

  8. I'll gladly take the blame if I can steal this whole fantastic outfit! Pantaloons and pearls, striped skirt and killer boots, I swoon.

  9. Love the skirt with the hint of lace at the bottom. Oh I so wish I could wear pointy boots! And heels. Bad feets...

    1. Maybe some pointy sock then? You're so good at knitting, I'm sure you could come up with a mighty fine pair!

  10. I am an enabler. I've said it. Now I hang my head - because I don't want you to see my evil grin!
Of COURSE you bought those boots? Who else would buy them? Those are YOUR boots. Live once (or several times perhaps), look great, feel great, and get yourself down there line-dancing, yee haw. Great look, Pao!

    1. Yes you are. You're an enabler of the truthiness of things, fa la. It's time I kicked up my heels, enjoyed the low spark of high-heeled boots, and...so you think I can dance?

  11. I am extremely jealous of your cowboy boots, I've had a yearning for some for ages. My 4 year old niece went to Tennessee with her mum and has the most adorable red pair. One day, when I go to a suitable place in the States, I'm leaving space in my luggage.

    1. I think you'd better wear them back, they take up a lot of space! So, no cowboy boots in England, then? Not even in thrift shops...

  12. Wonderful outfit--love the pantaloons!! I'm planning on making some from old sheets for wearing under sheer summer skirts!
I'm an enabler, too because those boots are AWESOME!!! You'll get plenty of wear out of them for the cost!

    1. Yes, pantaloons and bloomers are great under skirts in summer and winter. I have several pairs, I mean several! And they certainly go well with cowboy boots.

  13. Oh you have to have cowboy boots. They are quintessentially American and some of them are works of art! The velvet blazer is very cool as well. Love velvet--I wore it today actually!

    1. Complete absolution via blogging. Thank you Debbi. I know, I can't believe how expensive they can get. limitless in price. humph, and mine were a mere $20. Yes, velvet is so luxurious-feeling. The combo of leather cowboy boots, corduroy, lace & gauze, and beaded velvet was just sensory overload.

  14. Is that a star pin you have on? Sorry if you've shown it before and I missed it. I just bought a large star-face pin for 3 bucks so I've got stars on the mind now.
I envy you being able to buy shoes/boots online. You must have normal feet (unlike me and my cave-woman feet).

    1. Yes, I've had it forever, made of 5 long conical seashells glued together with tiny "pearls" at the center. I know I've been lucky that the 3 pair I've order on-line have fit perfectly.

  15. It seems so on both accounts. Hopefully they're not related...Thanks for hosting Monday Mingle, Jill.
