Now turn around slowly...
Well, what have we here?
Okay, so how'd you get those shoes to match, lady?
What I'm Wearing, Gals:
- Pale green plaid linen top hand made from Tina Givens Luella pattern with modifications
- Striped linen slip/ dress hand made from Tina Givens Sugar pattern with modifications
- Striped fabric Irregular Choice shoes from ebay
Let us not forget to mention photog experts Sara and Viv X for today's shoot. Thanks, girls.
Ah- ha...a little sass with the back view. Well done Pao! The hem on the linen striped dress and THOSE shoes! Love them! You just need a stripey parasol and a beach! Now off to check out Tina Givens!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a stripey parasol, but the beach is just down the street. Didn't even think of it...doh!
DeleteSara and Viv X, excellent photos of an excellent model. You are indeed under arrest, Pao, for indecent fabulousness. I love your guilty impish face in photo 2. There's no escape. Heh. I'll take care of your clothes while you're in the slammer. Heh. LOVE your new Irregular Choice shoes too.
ReplyDeleteYou're my role model, Ms. Melanie and that's all I'm sayin'.
DeleteThe best style is the one that expresses our individuality. You seem to have mastered that.
ReplyDeleteooo, what a thoughtful thing to say, Ally. I'm trying.
DeleteGreen plaid and striped linen! Yeah!
ReplyDeleteLove the pleat in front, and dipped hem...lovely surprise as you turned.
Xo Jazzy Jack
The back is the best, right?
DeleteThe shoes are so perfect!!!!! What fun!
ReplyDeleteHey Rhonda,
DeleteDo you think they're too matchy-matchy?!
surprising!!!
ReplyDeletelove the shoes!!
xxxx
Really they're too dainty for such an over-sized outfit, but I couldn't resist the match factor.
DeleteVery sassy poses. You are learning from the best. Tina Givens should be paying you large sums of $$$$ for making her patterns look so amazing.
ReplyDeleteYou mean my mentor, Melanie? Yes, but I am a slow learner.
DeleteI agree about Tina, but no such luck yet. I do get a generous discount being a member though...
The shoes are insane!
ReplyDeleteLove your turn around slowly...ha ha!
bisous
Suzanne
I'm working it, girl.
DeleteI LOVE how the shoes match the underskirt. Plus it's reminding me - I need new fun shoes!
ReplyDeleteuhoh, I'm an enabler. Well, you started it all with your Trippens way back when, ya know.
DeleteOh, those shoes make me swoon!
ReplyDeleteThe top-from-the-front, dress-from-behind is fabulous, both the shape and the colour.
It's not something anybody could luv...but I do, like an old fav flannel shirt...the linen is so soft and the color so soothing. Needless to say, the shape is comfy too.
DeleteThe shoes and skirt have a bit of a Regency vibe about them. Love the pose, the dress and the photos, you rock! xxx
ReplyDeleteI'll have to look up the Regency period of fashion history and get some pointers.
DeleteSexy! Such cheeky poses, you! Fantastic outfit! I love love love it! Shall I just keep gushing? xoxo
ReplyDeleteYes, please go right ahead.
DeleteI was holding my breath with anticipation as you turned! Bravo!!! But what is that bit of decoration on your left shoulder???
ReplyDeleteI saw some clogs that totally made me think of you last time I was out thrifting...they had peace signs and other graffiti printed all over them. :o)

ahhh, so observant. That was an ill conceived design element that was removed soon after the photo session.
DeleteSplendiferous layering there lady! I love the designs of Irregular Choice shoes but have never found a pair I could wear. Stripes rule!
ReplyDeleteI luved that faded green plaid linen top thingy, but had nothing to wear with it. And then, voila, I whipped up the striped linen underdress and one thing led to another. Now they're living together as a three-some.
