Periwinkle and the Gargoyle

No, it's not a new band.

It's what I wore, and where.

You know, part of the This Is Not My House photo series...

~ I think there may be a family resemblance going on... ~

~ I'm wearing my newly made Periwinkle linen Melody Dress by Tina Givens. ~

Found.

~  An image of one of my ancestors taken at this exact spot! ~

Amazing.

~ I couldn't believe I found matching tights in my drawer. ~

Not to mention these dreamy burnished silver Trippens from...ebay!

To see me Kick Out The Jams, in Periwinkle and rainboots, keep on reading on...

...but first, one last Gargoyle gander:

~ with my home-made Peplone Jacket by Tina Givens, of course ~

Okay now, let's kick out the jams, you #@!%!

~ the same dress, another day ~

~ with rubber cowboy boots, sheer pantaloons, and striped sox ~

It was raining cats & dogs

~ The I'm a school teacher look ~

Gargoyle photos by Sara and her crew Viv X.   Broken glass photos by Elaine.

I'm linking on over to Patti's Visible Monday, back again after summer hiatus.  yea!  Come on over and see the Visibles in Action.

    1. I should've mentioned the rainboots are from ebay too. So happy to see VM back in business, Patti.

    1. It is a magic color, isn't it? I must confess I'm not a real school teacher, rather an art instructor at a city college.

  5. That would be a great name for a band.
If I'd had teachers as cool as you I wouldn't have hated it so much! xxx

  6. That would make a brilliant name for a brand!

I've decided I need some pantaloons. Just so I can say that I'm wearing pantaloons.

Those boots are insane! I love them!

    1. For a brand? A brand of what, might I ask...? or perhaps it doesn't matter. Pantaloons are a wonderous item. I have more than I can recall. Bloomers can be referenced too. Of course they work best if your dress is a bit longer. Maybe you have to age into them... My boots are completely practical in a rainstorm.

  7. I think it sounds more like a fairy tale. And you look like a fairy princess in periwinkle. You really do. I'm nuts about your stripedy sox. Heck. I'm nuts about everything here.

    1. Your right, Connie, it does. hmmm. I think it's probably a scary one. Like that ancestor pix.

  8. Tremendous new dress. And periwinkle is one of my favourite colour words. I don't see school teacher look at all - I see artist/muse no matter what you're doing.
Hahaha - your kicking-down-the-house pose. You are bad-ass indeed with sheer pantaloons!, they are scandalous and gorgeous. Your band can all wear them.

    1. I agree, there is no better color word (that I can think of). Do you know that song by MC5 from Detroit? It was so hot in the 70s.

  9. If I copped to a favorite color, I'd probably choose periwinkle. You look beautiful in it. Love it all, especially the pantaloons over the stripes ... rich, rich, rich! Lovely to see you with a big smile, very un-gargoyle like.

  11. Periwinkle sounds like the name of a character in a fairy tale, and it's also such a lovely shade of blue. I just love that shot of you in the rubber cowboy boots "kicking out the jams". Rock on, Pao!
