The Next Generation

painting by Gaston La Touche.

Just a wee note.  I have pix of my baby clothes that I gave to a new baby.  These were the ones my Mom hand-sewed for the infant me and then gave to me this past Fall.

You can read more about them in my post Hand Me Downs   And then again in Life Laundry - White Wash.  So cute.

Life Laundry - White Wash

installation by Yoshikazu Yamagato
I just realized this afternoon the great metaphor I put into play a few days ago.  Let me set it up.  I decided to try some "White-Wash" laundry treatment by Rit to see what it could do for those baby clothes from my Mom.  It's some kind of non-bleach alternative whitener.

Hand Me Downs

My baby kimono jacket made by Mom
So.  I was at my Mom's this holiday weekend and she gave me the baby clothes she had hand-made for me when I was born.  pause.  yeah.  What can you say?

So I took them home and took pix.  Here's a kimono-type jacket (don't ya think?).  And wait 'til you see the rest.  No wonder...
