Cherry Pickers

This post was interrupted by Captain America last week.  So back to the task at hand.  Take your pick of the cherry top poses...

with a neutral grey background, or

 with my Zoolander look

+ a view of my e-bay boot/shoes

I'm wearing a recently sewn cherry print cotton shirt made from a Kathrine Tilton pattern.  Click on the bold type and see it up close and in detail.  Also a new black knit skirt I made from the same designer.  Old knee highs, ebay shoe/boots, and a found wooden bead bracelet complete my ensemble.

I'm joining Patti and the Visibles at Not Dead Yet Style and the crowd at Monday Mingle.  Come on over.

Ed. note:  Pao is joining Spy Girl's 52 Pick-Me-Up: Cherry right now.  Go there.

  2. Fantastic cherry top whatever the background and those shoes are cool.
I've never seen Zoolander and you're the second blogger to reference it in 24 hours. Is it worth seeing? xxx

    1. hee hee, Zoolander is a silly film that I always remember the bit about striking his signature model pose of sucking in his cheeks, puckering up his lips and staring down the camera.

  4. To Vix - yes, Zoolander is a hoot, a farce about modeling. I think you'll enjoy it, provided a few good bottles of wine are nearby.

Pao, I really dig your cherries shirt w/Zoolander look, and the shoes are superb! Thanks for coming over to VisMon.

    1. I was thinking the same thing, wondering if Zoolander would still hold up. Actually I look pretty plain compared to your glorious teatime concoction.

    1. Yes! Tilton patterns are the best, and then Koos too. Most others are the pits in comparison...

  9. I love your shoes, they go perfectly with the outfit. I have a weakness for Tilton clothing, I just may have to check your link...
You asked in my blog about the bird. It is an exotic hen bird, and goes by name of Vulturine Guinea Fowl, which is an endangered species. There are cute videos on Internet Bird Database here:

    1. The Tilton links are great because she shows variations on her patterns and other tutorials. Lots of cool stuff.
I thought it might have a vulture-type head, but the beautiful feathering had me in doubt. Vulturine has a nice ring to it.

  10. Bing cherries are my favorite summer fruit, and you are dishing them up in a very delicious way. Accompanied by the perfect choice of boots. I'm going to have to start cruising e-bay! However, I'm frightened that it may become a huge estate sale that I can't resist.

    1. There's too much stuff there, you can certainly resist. But it is all nicely organized by whatever category(ies) you choose to browse: by style, size, color, price, brand, new, pre-owned, etc. Major downside is that you can't try them on, of course. But you can ask lots of questions before hand. I've learned to ask for the inside measurement of length from heel to toe and width across the ball of foot.

  11. So that's what all those lovely blossoms turn into - your yummy shirt! I too am becoming enamored of the Tilton sisters' patterns. I want to be able to design like them when I grow up!
