Stepping Out of the Wardrobe

Again...Finally...
And just in time for Patti's Visible Monday and the party she hosts for us fortnightly.  Appropriately enough, I'm wearing my Bounce Back Ability dress, this time with lacy peach-colored fishnet stockings and new ebay sandals.

For more closet pictures continue after the break...

at one with my wardrobe/ closet
Especially the messiness of it.  I have been good at building messy nests all around me and letting them  radiate throughout the house lately.  Well, let's be honest, that's an ongoing trait.  But surely its level of intensity equates with the perpetrator's state of mind,  something like that.

Look!  She stirs...
Yes, I've been doing a lot of mending.  Meaningful mending - maybe it would actually be called altering ready-to-wear to make it mine.  That's been satisfying.  Of course I haven't any pictures.  Seems I've been out of practice with blogging and don't think of picture taking automatically.  Gotta get back into the groove.  Oh, and I've been making some jewelry too - long necklaces out of bits and bobs.

Le Shoes
I leave you with a parting shot of my lovely new sandals, sweet.

ed. note:  thought I'd go back to the vault for Sheila's Shoe Shine - a whole year!   Still love those sandals.

  9. Meaningful mending. I get it. There's a lot of satisfaction and less-stress sewing in those kinds of projects. I've been doing more of that lately, too. There'a a lot of bang for the buck, wardrobe-wise.

I love the colors you're wearing and the sandals are fabulous. I like the sole. :-)

  10. Hi Pao!! Thinking about you. I've been able to spend a few moments perusing the blogs, and thought of you when someone made mention of this designer in a comment on Patti's blog. Her looks are cool, and seem to flow with our aesthetic, although I think we'll choose to upcycle. :-) Check her out: http://IveyAbitz.com/

Hope you're hanging in there. It's pretty crazy over here as well. XXOO
