Tablecloth Dress #4 - Endangered Species

And now for something completely different...

Yep, those are big elephant pockets

complete with a  lion in them, uh-huh.

Let me tell you...
This tablecloth was so big, I was able to get the skirt and bodice out of it.  Having elephants, lions, rhinos, leopards, zebras, wildebeests, plus vessels on a tie-dyed tablecloth is about as good as you can get.  Finding a checked plaid woven tablecloth for the center panel and inside pocket linings was pretty cool too.

A tablecloth dress for the ages.

Straight on.

Obligatory shoe shot from you-know-where.

To see details of Tablecloth Dress #4, just go to my Clothes from Summer page.  You even get to see the back!   And I've got at least 2 more coming...

  1. Wow. Your sense of textiles is truly a wonder, how you colour them, how you graft them together, how you drape them, how you pick them out in the first place. What a gorgeous piece, worn of course with great shoes. What's next, what's next!?

    1. This one just fell into place. At least the tablecloths did, both from the same person at the same time! It did take days of maneuvering to finally figure a way to get all those animals in there. Unfortunately most of the wildebeest was forsaken.

Well, the next one is like none other...

    1. They are comfortable with really soft leather. The brand is Faryl Robin and I got them on ebay, although they looked new. Thanks for coming by Stashworth.

    1. Reminds me of your monkey dress, Vix, in which several monkeys had to be sacrificed. In my case it was the wildebeests. sshhhh...

    1. I've got two elephant dresses now, both Tilton dress patterns. Different elephant fabric and different Tilton patterns. I know, this tablecloth pattern is going to self-destruct soon.

    1. Plus I know how to take care of it: Oxy-clean or embroidery or applique.

  8. Can't wait for the next ones! Pant pant! How can you be so fabulous?! Such a joy to see beautiful pieces of cloth that were perhaps ignored, suddenly receiving centre stage. Take a bow elephant dress! Wild cheers and applause:-D
