Yes, I wasn't looking for any. It just came my way as these things are apt to do. And I made the best of it. What was I going to do, refuse? Nooooo.
So here I am, showing...
~ my multi-animal print, stretchy mesh, dress ~ |
I don't really seek out leopard print, but I can't resist sheer stretchy mesh, because it just might become stockings. That is if it stretches both ways, turns out many don't, like this one.
Now if only |
I knew how |
to do a gif |
You'll never believe the pattern I derived this baby from. See the Clothes from Fall page for close-ups of the clothes and pattern. I'm also wearing one of my fabric stash necklaces and some Wolky sandals from you know
Since I finally got this post up, I think I just may go to Patti's party twice at Not Dead Yet Style. That'll be a first. I'm also able to fit right in with Anne's 52 pick-up: Animal at SpyGirl. Wow. And then there's Rhonda's Me Made Monday. See you all there, there and there.
Okay, here we go for a little spin, courtesy of Vix.
Oh my, I'm dizzy already
ah, that's better |
makeagif.com its easy, even I can do it!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dress, pretty print and fabulous shoes. I've got my sewing mojo back, what shall I make next? xxx
Thanks Vix. Maybe I looked better as the 3 faces of Eve, I dunno. I didn't know your SM was away. What will you make next? hmmm. Did you buy any of those pom pom, lacey, trim things on your last outing?
DeleteLooking good, Ms P! Thanks for linking.
ReplyDeleteIt only took a year or so for me to do it, but it finally worked out. yeah.
DeleteI'm growling at your dress, with admiration of course. I am in awe simply because you can sew stretch fabric just fine with your regular sewing machine.Gulp. I looove your stretchy mesh animal dress. The gif is great! I'll have to try it sometime too.
ReplyDeleteYes, just think of you with gif-ness happening!
DeleteThis was easy to sew. I just used a slight zig zag stitch to accommodate the stretch. It's when they're slinky and stretchy and mesh that I go crazy.
I would never dare try to sew stretchy mesh, but you not only did it, but made something really funky. Congratulations on your first Gif !
ReplyDeleteOh, it's an after-the-fact gif. Could I do any better if I thought about it first?
DeleteThe stuff is easy to sew. It's the slinky, stretchy, mesh knits that are hell, like the red one I just finished. aiyiyi.
I like what this dress is doing at the hem. Fun design. I just bought some stretch velvet. I was planning, I'm not really sure, but once I unpacked it, "ahhh, tights!!!" It's a great orange, navy, light blue and cream tie dye print. Thanks for linking to MMMondays. I think I am going to add an incentive, like a prize for the person who posts the most over the upcoming year.
ReplyDeleteVelvet tights! And tie dyed too. woo-hoo. Can't get much cooler than that, Rhonda. ahhh, you don't need an incentive to post on Me Made Mondays. Word just has to get around to all the sew sisters.
DeleteWell that dress looks like a dream to wear!

It certainly is. Doesn't even wrinkle!
DeleteFrom one who seeks out leopard, I love that this fabric found you. Your amazing talent is showing again! As always!
ReplyDeleteoooo, correspondence from France! I love reading about your adventures abroad traveling with monsieur J.
DeleteNot much on big-cat print, but I make an exception for you ... you look quite fabulous in this. And the shoes! Perfect.
ReplyDeleteI'm not either, but this one is sort of mixed up and hazy so it helps, I think. Just like my photos!
DeleteYou done done it again, Ms P! And I especially love those shoes.
ReplyDeleteShiny aren't they? Boc, given to me by a friend. They didn't fit her well. ahhh.
