Now Is The Time

...for a massive-clean-up-your-mess-however-long-it-takes session(s).

painting by Cassie Taggart

Enough with procrastination, work-a-rounds, and not paying attention.  Hear that?    I'm going to take the time it takes, i.e., stop sewing (!) and just do it.  yeah.  So this is probably enough talking about it and the moment for action.  woo-hoo!

See you on the other side...

    1. Amen to that, Louisa. I made some headway yesterday, so I'm keepin' on keepin' on.

  2. Yes, go to your room and don't come out until it's all cleaned up!
No doubt you'll gain even more inspiration once the piles are cleared. But I do love the scattered cluttered colorful mess of the painting. When I declutter I still like to leave piles here and there. I call them my "Happy Piles" because I'm always working at calming down my obsessive organizings. Don't forget to leave your Happy Piles!
Can we get some photos when you're finished??

    1. I wish my mess looked as good as the one in the painting! Don't worry, Joni, I'll never be clutter-free. After photos? possibly. You're sure not seeing any before photos!.

  3. Your sleeves must be rolled up. Now - don't get lost in those little bits of inspiration flying at you from every which-way. The are EVIL TEMPTRESSES (but only when you're trying to clean). Maybe blinders would be beneficial. Good luck. We need a photo of you looking suitably frazzled you when you stagger out, mission accomplished.

    1. omg Melanie. Really, Day 2 without sewing. Although I did take some moments to glue together a pdf pattern. But I immediately folded it up and put it away for a later date. sigh. Anyway, I'm in the thick of it now. You know, when it really looks worse than it ever did because everything has been pulled out and moved around and is in a gigantic, GIGANTIC, pile in the center of the room. That's where I am. No more sorting my thread in color wheel order. no-siree.

  4. After you've sorted yourself out over there, would you mind coming over and helping me, because I'm drowning in piles of clothes and papers.....

    1. ha! I have finished my work here and it's a wonderful space now, better than I could ever have imagined. Both the sewing studio and the dressing room. Now the other 2 rooms I trashed in doing these, well, they've just got their doors shut real tight.
