The dress is made from what was called China Silk and was a real pain to sew. (I do luv the print though.) It kept puckering, which is why it is inundated with lace trim. But I guess it came out alright in the end.

I'm rushing on over to Patti's Not Dead Yet Style and then Catherine's I Will Wear What I Like when she goes live. Hope to see you all there.
those cool boots! and the last of the house-dresses is a beauty, I love the print too. Jealous of you needing a jacket! xox

Yeah, they're all fiber and elastic except for a bit of leather at the heel. Real comfy. That's #6 for the hot house dresses. Thank goodness it's all the way down to the 60s now and I can stop. It's onto coats, I guess.
DeleteI do like the pattern on your house dress, so good with those great boots. Hope your Fall is a good one .
ReplyDeleteI'm am excited for "layering season" to begin! Pretty pattern on this dress; I like it better without the obi belt too. I have a pair of "sneaker boots" that look like those shoes. They are super comfy.
ReplyDeleteThis is quite inspirational. As always. All the colors and most of the textures.
ReplyDeleteCoat dresses? I had a really pretty china silk I'd made into a dress. Fabric was so clingy, it would have worked better as a bowl cover. Cotton slip didn't help, so off it went to somewhere else.I hope it's happier.
Seattle is jacket time but not quite raincoat all the time. Guess I should finish altering my Bill Cunningham Tribute jacket pronto.
Gorgeous!! Love that brocade jacket and the print on your dress. x
