Here's the inspirational artwork:
Tree of Life stained glass by Henri Matisse |
See how I styled with it after the break...
Where's pao?
I'm at one with Matisse |
I'm wearing a made-from-scratch and then re-altered kimono top and skirt you've seen before. But come on, how could I not wear this for Matisse?! I did change it up by donning my new mustard colored tights and my old painted sandals. (Click on bold items to find out more about them.)
Pat, seriously, you are some kind of style blogger genius. I love Matisse and mustard tights dearly :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, showing off my first pair of store-bought bright colored tights!
DeleteLove this stained glass, and your artistic interpretation too - the kimono is awesome. Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday and stay fabulous.
ReplyDeleteWell, not much for me to do really, just jumping in. And thanks so much for having us all over for the Visible party!
DeleteDelightful! Your symmetrical pose and leafy pattern fit perfectly.
ReplyDeleteMe and Matisse, we got the groove.
DeleteLove your interpretation of the Matisse. Looks fab!
ReplyDeleteI bow to the master, Matisse.
DeleteOh i LOVE this!!! I'm checking out how you painted the sandals!!
ReplyDeleteOh do, I can see it now, all your new old shoes painted in every color!
DeleteMustard tights have never been more appropriate. Totally perfect for this Matisse.
ReplyDeleteSee you influence me in all sorts of ways!
DeleteI'm a big Matisse fan so I love this! Amazing how much you blend in! Love the combination of the kimino print and mustard tights.
ReplyDeleteWho knew one could so easily camouflage oneself in a Matisse? I mean really. Blogging is knowledge.
DeleteWhere's Pao? It's like a cooler version of that Where's Wally book kids used to like!
ReplyDeleteLove Matisse and love you! x
Yep, it's a new series I'm working on combining art, re-fashioning/styling and finding me! Think it will make a splash? oxxo
DeleteI have no words for you, dearest pao, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
ReplyDeleteYou are unique, adorable and so inspiring and MAGIC!!!

Do you believe in magic, in an old girl's heart...
DeleteI am always so excited to see another Style Imitating Art from you! Nicely done, as usual! Each one is fantastic and makes me inordinately happy.
ReplyDeleteThen this one's dedicated to you, Amber! May you be inordinately happy.
DeleteYes, yes, yes ... Matisse would be proud of you! I'm not worthy to view you. What a treat, Pao. Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Jan. I'm coming over to your place now!
DeleteYou blend in beautifully with the Matisse. I love the position of your arms and hands, along with your total motif. How do you do it???
ReplyDeleteJust going with the flowing, I guess.
