I'm running on over to join the Visibles at Patti's Not Dead Yet Style and then join the crowd at Monday Mingle. Come on by for a look-see.
I would love to see you at work, my dear pao. You are an inspiration to me everytime.

Well, come on over. Spain is not so far from Chicago...is it?
DeletePat, now you clearly get the critical role pockets play in the very best garments.
ReplyDeleteuh-huh
DeleteI really love the big pockets.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! I knew that skirt would be awesome on and it totally is. I love the shape and the mega-huge pockets. I really enjoy sewing on corduroy - I had to hem both of my corduroy pants and it sews really easy.
ReplyDeleteYea, plus it makes that cool swish-swish sound when I walk.
DeleteI love corduroy too - great shirt. And you do have pockets that would hold several good-sized cats : > Thanks for sharing your creativity with Visible Monday.
ReplyDeleteooo, I haven't tried that yet.
DeleteOh, fantastic! I too am so happy to see it on - perfect panniers for cats, and also going to market for produce!
ReplyDeleteYes, no need to remember the shopping bag, or purse for that matter.
DeleteOh, corduroy. I do so love it and pockets too? Wonderful. The color of your stockings, so rich. A wonderful counterpart to the corduroy.
ReplyDeleteWho knew corduroy was everyone's fav?!
DeleteNow when someone asks if you have 'deep pockets' you won't be able to deny it!! So cute.
ReplyDeletehee hee, very good Adrienne.
DeleteWho needs to carry a bag with those spectacular zipped pockets. You may need to patent these; I think you're on to something (again). The pink made from scratch socks are such a great combo with the shoes. You're the only person I know who makes socks. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteI've always loved skirts and dresses with pockets, but this - this is the cat's pajamas. And socks are easy to make if you have the right fabric. I found out it has to stretch both ways!
DeleteNow I want to make my version of that skirt too - yours is too cute! Unfortunately there's a number of things in the queue already that demand to get done first. Isn't that always the way? I do love me some corduroy too but I haven't seen any nice stuff recently. Will have to keep an eye out. You are so inspirational!
ReplyDeleteI stumbled upon great quality corduroy at Vogue Fabric here on sale for only $1.99/yard! Thus the series of garments lately. Watch out for the sizing on this pattern, both pants and skirt. I ended up going about 4 sizes smaller than the pattern indicated.
DeleteMade from scratch socks? I've never heard of such a thing. I've heard of scratchy socks, in fact, I've even worn scratchy socks but never knew they could be made from scratch. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love those great big pockets!
Just think of the designs you could make from diy socks, Joni!
DeleteLoving Patti's suggestion of cat-carrying pockets, they look wonderful,if you're going to have pockets make 'em as visible as possible.
ReplyDeleteLocal joke, never wear cord in the rain. Why? You cor-dry-it. (Don't know if it works in an anything other than a Black Country accent) xxx
Yes, it's the perfect 'going to the vet' skirt if you wear some thick denim leggings or such under it. I think your right about the accent...
DeleteSocks from scratch? Oh, please do a post with full instructions on that!
ReplyDeleteI did one. Just click on the bold 'made-from-scratch sox' under the picture. happy sewing.
DeleteFABULOUS!! gorgeous skirt!!
ReplyDeleteSocks from scratch??? Instructions PLEASE!!!
I have instructions on my post about the socks. Just click on the bold type under the picture of them above. Have fun.
DeleteIf I could choose a super-power it would be to fashion my own garments. Just so great. Really.
ReplyDeleteThere are not enough pockets in the world. Not nearly enough ... thanks for the inspiration.
Hey Jan, it doesn't take super-power, just playing around, and time, and no problem with failure.
DeleteYou always twist something ordinary into something extraordinary, big pockets case in point, and that hemline. Oooo - loving that. Your pockets could hold a whole box of tissue. I'm a bit late here, but I'm glad I made it. You are ALWAYS inspiring.
ReplyDeleteI see you've been busy on vogging off, can't wait to see the December layout! My imagination is running wild...Just think how many issues I could stuff my pockets with! Luv being twisted, sistah.
