Alienwear Makes Vogoff September Issue!

This just in!!!

Mz. Bagg, editor of VOGOFF, included my Retro Alienwear Look in this September issue of the infamous zine.

Read it, See it, Right NOW!

I'll wait.

Go on.

Be sure to check out the links to all the contributors' sites too.  Delicious stuff you know.  Take your time with that.  Dole it out for yourself as needed.  You don't want to...how do you say...O.D.?

With that message, and the zine out, I'd like to show you a few solo shots of my retro alienwear, if I may.

(after the break)

Le Retro Alienwear Look
eek! it's aliens meet 1920s Paris!
and what's with the slime?
ballet beam me up position
oh my!
If you'd like to see this dress as it is and the pattern that went way astray, it's on my Clothes for Summer page.  I doubt if I shall ever wear this ensemble again.  Well, maybe for our Vogoff reunion...

Note:  Yes, tablecloths were used in this production.  Shoes are Wok 'n Roll by Fluevog from ebay.  Mz Bagg is also known as Melanie of Bag and a Beret.

And why not go as I am to Patti's Not Dead Yet Style Visible Monday party?  yeah, baby!  I simply must make an appearance with my Wok 'n Roll Fluevogs at Sheila's Shoe Shine, now mustn't I?  Come see all the footsters there.  Do.

  1. Don't you just love the way Mel altered (or maybe you did it) your picture to look like a Dali? I'd love to frame a copy of that I like it so much.
You're so kind to mention me as one of your style muses. I feel the same about you! Well, all things creative for that matter. Lately in my sewing room I've just been altering things with my serger. I love how easy it is to take an old cardigan and turn it into a shrug type thing. I love those much better. Oh, and then there's those Skops.

You always have the niftiest shoes!

Okay, so now that you've bossed me around, I'll go read VOGOFF again!!

    1. Hey Joni, I love the pix of you at your dream job. Very nice. I don't have a serger, actually I don't even wear knits and haven't sewn much at all with them. Don't like the clinginess. But people seem to luv 'em.
Which picture looks like a Dali? If I did it, I can send you an autographed copy.

  2. Pao, your retro alienwear is stupendous. And nobody, but nobody does a better artful foot shot than you. I'm glad tablecloths were involved in this shoot, as long as you didn't harm them. Thank you so much for joining VOGOFF!

    1. Oh Melanie, you are a shining schtar and then some. Old tablecloths don't mind being cut up as long as they're being useful, as is their nature. I am so proud to be a VOGOFF alumni and you made it all happen! So thank YOU.

  5. I love your work, and the shiny fabric is like some alien insect carapace. I also love what you've been doing with tablecloths lately, as I've been collecting them from charity shops.

    1. Yes, do. Anyone can contribute. There's usually an open call when one's about to emerge. Melanie's the creative wizard behind the zine. That and the Traveling Yellow Skirt Freak Show. Just click on the links at the bottom of the page to find out more. Great fun.

    1. I know, isn't cool?! I thought my dress was so weird, but when compared with everyone else in Vogoff, I looked rather normal. Ah well, it's all relative. Glad your week got better, better, better.
