Luxe Up

Slid back into Winter temps in Chicago today.  So here I am lounging about in some luxurious fabrics that I've turned into stuff.  Ready?

Let me set the stage.  That's Tree Bark Women peaking over my shoulder and Albertine strutting past.

I'm wearing velvet, satin, suede, "gold" and slinky knit

Phoebe velvet bloomers, Ophelia knit top (both Tina Givens patterns), Simplicity suede & satin kimono top.

gives us a twirl...

and the ole Doc Martins, of course

Also made the jewelry, but you really can't see the two necklaces and bracelet...

And...the best is yet to come:  Patti's Not Dead Yet Style for Visible Monday!  Check it out.

  1. The trousers look so soft and swooshy and the knit top is dreamy too. My cat always gives me that angle too when I'm vogue-ing. Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday, xo.

  2. The bloomers are so lovely.

I haven't gotten many pictures since acquiring my cat, but he is quite fond of the bum-shots as is.

    1. Bloomers rock. I've made this pattern 5 times - besides velvet, there's flannel, corduroy and 2 different tablecloth versions. Kitties will be kitties...

  3. Wow! What a colour palette and silhouette - oh, get me, I've come over all fashion. You look amazing but watch it, that sexy feline's trying to steal the show. xxx

  4. I think you've covered all the basic fabric groups here for optimal health. The jewel tones alone could keep you warm during that vexing cold snap. Poor Tree Bark Woman, looking enviously at your fabulous outfit. But she's a whole different kind of beauty.

    1. I'm sure I've forgotten something, but I can always add it on next time. Or make it for Ms. Tree Bark...

    1. Funny how things just go that way sometimes, isn't it? Like you stand there and they just gravitate toward you one at a time. Next thing you know, you're dressed.

  9. I'm so in love with this combination I'm just swooning here! Be-you-tee-ful fabrics and shapes and all with you in them! Wear often and everywhere before it gets too hot. I really want to see you in a pale, swoopy top with those pantaloons early this summer!

    1. The swoon pose is my personal favorite, by the way. Oh, I'll have different bloomers for summer, dear. I'm afraid velvet just wouldn't do.

    1. Oh, I'm on the right path then. That just adds to the pleasure, especially when it snowed (again) last night.
