Greetings from the Frozen Tundra

...located down the street at Lake Michigan.  Yea, just enjoying the sunny, 10 degree weather with a -6 wind chill.

~ Can't tell who that is? ~

I'll try zooming in

~ hmmm ~

Okay, what if I just enlarge myself all over the place
~ I'm actually getting hot now ~

Maybe you can get a hint by my ensemble
~ hey, flash you! ~

and now for the piece de resistance (spoken with a French accent)
~ my Geisha moon boots ~

Didn't I recently post about Surviving the Tropics in Chicago?   Well, that was then and this is now.  And by the way, I did make the vest I have on out of scraps of fabric I had on hand...

I'll be linking up with Patti and the Visibles and Not Dead Yet Style, Catherine's I Will Wear What I Like and Cheri's Shoe & Tell when they all go live.  Come on by.

    1. No, you did great, Sally. I could've cropped them more, but would've lost that other worldly backdrop.

    1. And it was. Except for the fact I was so well-bundled, I was too warm.

  3. This is where the design rubber hits the reality road: WINTER. And you're ace'ing it, as usual. It's one thing to make the layered love work in the summer, but finding a coat that you can get the arty sleeves to slide into.....
Your art director has outdone themself with this set. ;) I'm assuming it's warmer as you left your coat unsnapped.

    1. Unsnapped and unzipped. But that was just for the photo op. More snow today, same temp, no sun. Less fun. no pix. I did still take the obligatory walk to the lake though.

  4. Your frozen, dramatic backdrop certainly makes for great shots. Those Geisha moon boots are truly amazing.
It is a heatwave here but not sure I want to trade places.

    1. Yes, got to have something of interest to look at when I'm all bundled up for the weather. Trading places is probably not a good idea, Jill. nope.

  6. I love a pair of boots that keep your feet toasty warm and are super fun to wear! Are those an ebay purchase too?

    1. Me too (without the hashtag). They're Ed Hardy boots that I got a hundred years ago at Marshall's - I don't think the stores exist anymore - something like TJ Max. For under ten bucks I believe.

  7. I couldn't help but chuckle at your dismay with -6 degrees. Here is Saskatchewan, Canada, just a couple states over from Michigan, it is a balmy -40C. BTW, that's the same as -40F

    1. Oh my, since then it's gotten much colder. Did you see my post of Lake Michigan frozen with piles of ice chards as far as the eye can see? But the point is I'm in Chicago and not the frozen tundra of Canada...supposedly.
