Too Much of a Good Thing Dress

That's certainly the case here.

~ Where should I start? ~

Maybe slathering coral on coral is a tad over done?  uhuh.  Plus, I look ginourmous it, more than usual.  Well enough about that.

These were made B.S. (before shoulder).

I saw my Sports Medicine Specialist last week, finally.  After doing some office-y tests and talking to me, he said I WAS DOING TOO MUCH SEWING WITH BAD POSTURE (I know Mom).    He referred me to physical therapy to get my shoulder, upper back muscles stronger (2-3 times a week for a month +).  And to stop with the anti-inflammatory 2x daily (I thought it was pain meds!) using them only as needed.

Well, easier said then done.  Turns out my new insurance doesn't cover physical therapy.  Oh no, that's not true.  If I pay $250 each and every time I visit a physical therapist, they'll pay what's left over.  nah.  On the other hand, I immediately stopped taking the meds with no problem.  Until the 3rd day, when my arm to hand was like a one-way freeway of pulsating something or others that dead ended in numbness. I'm back on them again.

Meanwhile the Doc recommended a you-tube video with stretches using a band for my scapula dyskinesis (abnormal movement of the shoulder blade).   We've ordered the stretch bands from Amazon...

I'm going to show up for Visible Monday at Patti's Not Dead Yet Style even though it's Tuesday.  And Catherine's I Will Wear What I Like, (even though I'm not).  And let's just forget the shoes this time.

I like each garment but maybe you're right that the coral needs breaking up a bit?

    1. Yep, nothing like the US health care system.

  3. I feel for you!! We've encountered similar situations with our insurance, like "Okay, we'll cover it but your co-pay is $245" etc. Such utter BS. My question is when do we emigrate? In the meantime, I hope the bands are helpful. I like your coral ensemble, BTW. Decided yesterday that I want to live in robes from now on. Let's start a club. :-) xoxoxo

    1. Yea, but you can't emigrate like in the good ole days - esp. not just for health care. You have to be younger and have a skill the to-be-adopted country wants.

      Robes are cool.

  4. No, my country wants ALL of you! Hahaha! Yes, we do. I'll write the prime minister, he'll understand.

You will be able to replicate those exercises on your own so I hope you don't fret too much. I'm sorry to hear that the pain continues.

On a cheerful note, your coral on coral is fabulous! Not too much - just right. I like Jean's idea of robes forever. Yes!

    1. Well, I'll be sure to mention your name at the border.

  5. I also suffer from shoulder issues, so I definitely feel for you! I hate when a flare up inhibits my activities. And I never do what the doctor ordered, so that's no help either! But I love the coral on coral dress. I think it's fabulous and fun and unique and I don't think you look ginormous at all. I think you look fabulous!

  6. Oh my gosh. A sewing related injury? That is badass. I am seriously impressed. You know, most of my life I was an organic take-no-pills, do everything naturally kinda girl but now that I am a member of the chronic pain club I gotta say - pills were invented for a REASON! I so so so so hope you are feeling better and rosy soon. Pink looks so nice with coral.
